Like The Oscars for Corporate America
The American Business Award program, created in 2002 and nicknamed "The Stevies", is the only business awards program in the United States that honors and generates public recognition of corporate and executive achievements worldwide. The Stevie Award trophy is often called "the business Oscar", because it is hand-cast and finished in 24-karat gold by the same company that creates the Oscar. The name "Stevie" is taken from the name Stephen, derived from Greek term for "crowned". Past American Business Award winners have include Apple, Oracle, Hilton Hotels, and AT&T.

OWC Selected As Finalist From Over 3,000 Entries
More than 3,000 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted for this year's competition in more than 49 categories, including the New Product or Service of the Year – Computer Hardware category. Finalists were chosen by more than 140 business professionals nationwide during preliminary judging in April and May. More than 150 members of 10 specialized judging committees will determine Stevie Award placements from among the Finalists during final judging, to take place May 14 - 25.

People's Choice Award Voting Open In July
Each American Business Award finalist is also eligible to receive a special People's Choice Award, which consumers can vote for online. Voting will open to the general public in July, and winners will be honored at The American Business Awards' new tech awards ceremony in San Francisco in September 2012. "We are proud to once again be a finalist in the American Business Awards program, as we think the Mercury Accelsior is a true game-changer, bringing an unrivaled performance boost to any PCIe-equipped computer," said Larry O'Connor, Founder and CEO, Other World Computing.
